The Advanced Robotics Centre (ARC) at the National University of Singapore showcased its octopus-inspired robotic system, "Octo-bot in Your Hands," at the Science Centre Singapore RoboFest, engaging more than 37,000 visitors over four days.

The interactive demonstration allowed participants to control the robot in real time through intuitive finger movements, offering an accessible introduction to soft robotics and bio-inspired design. The showcase highlighted ARC's research in human-robot interaction and its potential to engage diverse audiences.

The event was supported by student volunteers from the NUS Mechanical Engineering programme, whose contributions were instrumental to the success of the showcase. The project was conducted under the guidance of Professor Cecilia Laschi.

The team was also featured in an interview by CNA, further extending the visibility of ARC's research to a broader audience. The showcase reflects ARC's ongoing commitment to public engagement and science outreach in Singapore.
