Cheah Kok Keong, Senior Manager at the NUS Advanced Robotics Centre has been conferred the Public Service Star (Bintang Bakti Masyarakat) by the President of Singapore

Cheah Kok Keong, Senior Manager at the NUS Advanced Robotics Centre has been conferred the Public Service Star (Bintang Bakti Masyarakat) by the President of Singapore at the Singapore National Day Awards 2025. Concurrently he was awarded the Long Service Medal (Pingat Bakti Setia) for his 25 years of service in NUS.

Kok Keong was awarded the Public Service Star in recognition for his dedicated service to the People’s Association (PA) Community Emergency and Engagement (C2E) Council Executive Committee (EXCO) and his contributions as Chairman of Taman Jurong C2E and Assistant Treasurer of Taman Jurong Citizen’s Consultative  Committee.

Instituted in 1963, the Public Service Star is awarded to any person who has rendered valuable public service to the people of Singapore or who has distinguished himself/herself in the field of arts, sciences, business, the sports, the professions and the labour movement.

Kok Keong received the Public Service Medal (Pingat Bakti Masyarakat) back in 2011.
