The National University of Singapore (NUS) Advanced Robotics Center proudly announces the Robotics Innovation Challenge (RIC) 2024, a cornerstone event in the field of youth robotics competitions. This year’s challenge, themed around healthcare innovation, is set to take place on February 4th, 2024.

RIC 2024 is an integral part of the esteemed SHADE event and is a collaborative effort between NUS, MIT Critical Data, National University Health System (NUHS), and MSD. This year, we are honored to have our event officially integrated into the prestigious Singapore Robotic Games, celebrating its 28th anniversary as the largest robotics competition for tertiary education students in Singapore.

The RIC 2024 is a global platform, attracting participants from across Southeast Asia and China. This international diversity enriches the competition, fostering a vibrant exchange of ideas and cultural perspectives.

The competition is divided into three main segments:

• Grand Arena: A thrilling display of technical mastery and strategic acumen in robotic battles. (GA Game Manual)
• Technical Competition: A rigorous test of technical skills and innovative problem-solving. (TC Game Manual)
• Innovation Design Challenge: A creative forum for addressing real-world healthcare issues through robotics. (IDC Game Manual)
