COVID-19 has unfortunately disrupted the world affecting traveling, businesses and our research activities. We had to postpone IAS-16 originally scheduled for July 2020.

IAS-16 will be held from 22- 25 June 2021 in a hybrid format, both

– Physically (face to face) in Peninsula Excelsior Hotel, Singapore, and

– Online format (virtually).

The IAS (Intelligent Autonomous Systems) Conference series is organized by the IAS Society and was the 1^st in the world for this area, with the 1st and 2nd IAS Conference held in Amsterdam in 1986 and 1989 respectively, followed by Pittsburgh in 1993 and Karlsruhe in 1995. It has been held once every 2 years since 1998 in Japan, and then to various cities in Europe, North America and Asia; and more recently in Baden-Baden in Germany in 2018 (IAS-15). This year, we are excited to host the 16th IAS Conference (IAS-16) in Singapore from 22-25 June 2021.

IAS Conference is a common platform for an exchange and sharing of ideas among the international scientific research and technical community consisting of academics, researchers in institute and industrial leaders. The conference focuses on theory and application of advanced autonomous and intelligent systems to industry and society. This international event brings together scientists, technologists, and students in an international stage to present and discuss latest scientific results, technologies and ideas enabling Intelligent Autonomous Systems to perform in a safe, skilful and robust manner handling uncertainties and unforeseen events. There will be a series of technical programmes consisting of presentations from academia and industry, workshops and exhibition.

The timelines are:

– Notification of Paper Acceptance: 28 Feb 2021

– Early Bird Registration Deadline and Paper Upload: 31 Mar 2021

– Final Program: 15 May 2021

– IAS-16 Event: 22 – 25 Jun 2021

We understand that there may be major concerns due to the recent outbreak of COVID-19. However, let us re-assure you that all of us in Singapore are taking active measures to minimize the transmission. Singapore has also implemented various measures to ensure safety and good health for residents and visitors. We are happy to share that as of 19 Nov 2020, there are no more locally transmitted cases in Singapore. All COVID-19 cases are imported and have been placed on “Stay Home Notice” at facilities in Singapore.
