Professor Adrian Koh has won the Silver Prize for the Most Outstanding Paper in the IEEE International Conference on Electronics, Information and Communication (ICEIC 2015)

A team led by Assistant Professor Adrian Koh at the Advanced Robotics Centre (ARC) has won the Silver Prize for the Most Outstanding Paper in the IEEE International Conference on Electronics, Information and Communication (ICEIC 2015) in January 2015. Their paper “Large actuation of an acrylic-based dielectric elastomer actuator in tubular configuration” has reported a world record actuation stretch of up to three times its original length for a dielectric elastomer actuator (DEA) in tubular configuration, under electrical stimulus.
